Zell doesn't give in without a fight, however his actions make him appear somewhat immature and rash. Zell is a friend of Squall's. He is a very tempermental person, and tends to have mood swings.

Description: A student of Trabia Garden, Selphie is known to be responsible yet naive in her thinking. She's playful and child-like, but overall Selphie's comfortable to be with. Selphie is a very cheery and outgoing person. You could say that Selphie is there to make the rest of the characters feel better about themselves.

Description: Orphaned at the age of 5, Quistis joined Garden at 10 and officially became a member of SeeD when she reached 15. She's a good mentor towards Squall. Quistis is one who's not used to setbacks, and demands only the best from herself. Although Quistis is only 18 years old, she is an instructor at Balamb Garden. She tutors Squall and the rest of his squad, and she taught Seifer too. She is a prodigy at fighting skills.

Description: Irvine is full of confidence of himself and his shooting skills are matched by none. He hails from Galbadia Garden, and calls himself 'Garden's Elite Sharpshooter'. Easy-going and humorous, Irvine's also a big flirt. Irvine is a real ladies man, and he never gives up (on the ladies). He is a sniper, and apparently a very good one. He tries to be very smooth and "sensitive," but they all just take him as a big joke.

Description: A man with a strong sense of justice, Laguna believes in protecting the weak. Formerly a soldier, he's now a journalist with Timber Maniacs, having decided to trade in his sword for a pen. Optimistic and cheerful, Laguna is very much a people's person. Although it is never actually revealed, many Final Fantasy fans believe Laguna is Squall's estranged father, and his dead wife, Raine was Squall's mother.
